The Ohio Supreme Court is now accepting applications for its 2025 Technology Grant Program, offering local courts critical funding to aid in the development and implementation of e-filing systems or new/upgraded case management systems (CMS). This grant works to support “local Ohio courts (Mayor’s courts are not eligible) by providing financial resources to aid in the implementation of technology-based projects.” www.supremecourt.ohio.gov

Why Ohio Courts Should Apply
Since 2015, the Ohio Supreme Court has awarded more than $42.4 million to local courts for technology-related projects. In 2024, the program helped courts fund 35 projects in 25 counties, totaling $2.89 million. Grants range from $9,500-$150,000 per project. These awards allow courts of all sizes to implement state-of-the-art technology, such as Advanced Robot Solutions’ Avatar-Guided A.I. e-Filing Kiosks. Solutions like these allow courts to better serve their community by increasing access to justice and streamlining operations. Furthermore, these technology implementations allow court staff to focus on higher-priority tasks.
Examples of eligible uses for grant funding include:
e-Filing implementation
Case management system (CMS) upgrades
Implementation of new hardware/software enhancing the filing process
