How will artificial intelligence (A.I.) affect government operations in our lifetime? The House Bipartisan Task Force on Artificial Intelligence recently released a sweeping 300-page report addressing this question and others.
The report highlights A.I.'s transformative potential in healthcare, education, government, and more, as well as the associated risks with the evolving technology. The report emphasizes the need for a balanced approach to A.I. adoption, focusing on innovation, efficiency, and responsible implementation. As a pioneer in A.I.-powered self-service solutions for the public sector, the team at Advanced Robot Solutions (ARS) is in alignment with the task force’s vision for the future of A.I. in government.
Today, our team is already delivering Self-Service A.I. solutions in 15 states, revolutionizing access to justice and administrative processes while prioritizing security and responsible innovation. At the California Supreme Court in Stanislaus County, taxpayers can speak or type in five languages (English, Spanish, Mandarin, Assyrian, and Punjabi) to make inquiries regarding Orders of Protection, Traffic Violations, Probate, Small Claims, and Divorce/Dissolution of Marriage. At the Kansas City, MO, Municipal Court, a custom ARS Connect solution is used for Wayfinding, Payments and E-filing.
Since 2022, the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, Florida, has trusted the SANDI Chatbot to handle over one million inquiries from the public on its website. This closed A.I. System only delivers answers based on the website and directs end-users directly to the information they need, based on verbal or text inquiries in English or Spanish. Designed and implemented by our team, SANDI has proven that A.I. is the solution to increasing access to justice with her multilingual speech and text capabilities and enhancing operational efficiency for staff by reducing the volume of live chat inquiries by 95%. In El Paso County, Texas, a multi-kiosk system directly addresses the report’s call for enhanced efficiency and automation in government services by providing 24/7 availability and multilingual capabilities across the county of El Paso, soon extending to the Ft. Bliss Army base and a nearby native American reservation.
The ARS team is encouraged by the House Task Force’s publication. Our broad array of customer installs supports the task force’s vision of A.I. as a tool to enhance public service delivery while prioritizing oversight and accountability.
